Destination Wedding in Turks and Caicos

I got married in Turks and Caicos in November 2015 and it was the wedding of my dreams! I get so many messages about destination weddings and requests for advice so i’m going to do a quick post about it with all the details and a few tips i can give you along the way!The first thing i did was hire a travel agent to help me plan and organize this! used Connection to Cruise and i highly recommend them! They also offered me a code to share for some freebies that ill have at the bottom of the post. Anyway, i picked the resort Beaches Turks and Caicos because it’s all inclusive and it’s honestly the best place for a large group and located right on grace bay!

After choosing the venue we chose the date ( 11.15.15) which was amazing weather not crazy prices due to peak season yet right at the tail end of hurricane season. We designed super cute passport save the dates/ invitations and the only info i had to include was to contact out travel agent for booking options and pricing. This made it incredibly easy for me, because i didn’t have to do any of the work. All of our guests just had to put a deposit down to book with our travel agent and then she let them make payments or pay in full or pay at the end. So it was quite simple. Plus the resort offers lots of room options so they were able to advise people on which room would be best for each person based on budget etc.As far as the guest list was concerned we invited every single person and family member we wanted so nobody was left out! How easy is this!! Why? Because we knew only people that really wanted to be there would travel that far and spend that much. In the end we had 45 people and it was absolutely perfect.

As for planning the wedding, I did get a wedding planner that worked on the resort and communicated with my husband and i over several phone conversations and email so it was pretty easy to plan! If you have enough guests in your group the resort gives you a FREE wedding among lots of other extras and perks depending on the current promotion. However, the “FREE” wedding comes with absolutely nothing so we added each special part that i wanted ( orchids, wedding arch, rose petals, live band, private dinner, photography and video etc….+++ ) and i think we spent about $15,000- $20,000 in the end. Which is honestly a great price to get this dream wedding with all the bells and whistles. My husband waiting for me to walk down..

Flower girls and our daughter <3 melt my heart

The Ceremony ..

You May Now Kiss the Bride

And we legally got married here and signed papers here so we love that our marriage cert if from Provodenciales not the US.

And then it was party time!

Everything was fantastic and i cant tell you enough how perfect it all turned out even with a rain storm at dinner and getting rushed indoors during dinner lol.

Anyway you can watch the wedding video here for the whole thing recapped. As far as the resort is concerned it was overall a very pleasant experience. The check in process was stressful and they didn’t give us the room we had booked, however i called my travel agent and she literally got it sorted for us within 15 minutes THANK GOODNESS FOR MARLYS!! We ended up with a butler suite and if you can afford the extra cost it’s worth it!! Such a game changer.

The resort is amazing for kids, they have sesame street characters, privates adventure cove and the best nannies and “daycare” center you can imagine. My daughter who was 2 years old begged us to stay in there which we kindly declined since we wanted to hang with her too!

Food was really good for an all inclusive resort and the service was amazing! Butler helps .. a lot lol. Oh i almost forgot the most important part. To end the trip we did a one day honeymoon that my husband surprised me with! He rented a private sail boat to cruise the entire inland for the day with a private caption and the best food and drinks EVER! (TAKE ME BACK PLEASE) If you are going and want to do this send me a private message and ill have to get you his contact info. It was so cool.
