Such a great day trip to Sea World San Diego yesterday! I have a season pass so in this blog post i can tell you all of tips and tricks i have learned. So if you live in So Cal i would recommend the season pass because its only $120.00 and it comes with free parking! (Which is Normally $20.00) So basically you’re getting the pass for an additional $20. Plus i got 2 free guest passes and brought my husband for free, along with 15% off inside the park. If you don’t live local then i highly recommend getting your tickets online in advance to save at least 20/30 dollars. Not sure why but they charge a lot more for purchases at the park entrance. And don’t forget Sea World used to have a bad rep about torturing the animals in small enclosures but i think they have really changed their tune! The polar bears are no longer there and they really focus on saving the oceans and animal rescues now. Although i would love to see them release the killer whales.

Anyway If you are coming from OC we left at exactly 8:30am on a Tuesday and had no traffic! We arrived at 10am which was perfect timing (Park opening). The first thing i wanted to do was head straight to the dolphin encounter where they do a 10:30am feeding and you are up close and actually get to pet them! SO AMAZING!! If you miss the 10:30am feeding then your out of luck – the afternoon one is not the same and much more crowded so i would put this on top of your list “to do” at sea world.

After the dolphins we just casually walked around checking out all of the other animals and exhibits. It’s easy to get around and see everything and wait times are so minimal we finished the whole park in 4 hours!

We finished with sesame street and let the kids play before we headed home! This is a cute area for the kids but i would give it 30 min max before you are bored and ready to go! The older kids climbed the ropes and play area and the baby loves this little play area specifically for kids under 39 inches tall. ( see below )

Anyway it was a great day!! We were at our car to head home by 2:30pm and again had no traffic whatsoever. The kids snoozed the whole way home <3 If anybody has any other questions send me a message and i’m happy to give you my opinion! – Megan
