We come to the Big Island often since my parents have a business here. It’s one of my favorite islands because there is so much to do and it’s got that amazing Island Vibe that i love without the hustle and bustle you find in Honolulu for example. Every time we come i try and do different things so keep checking this blog for more posts and fun things to do here. The Best Luau? Right here in the shopping center of course! It’s FREE and has the best show and fire dancers we have seen. They do not serve dinner and drinks but that’s fine by me! The show starts at 5:30 and you can go early to make lays and do some shopping. Then you can grab dinner afterwards and it’s likely to be 100x better then a buffet anyway. 🙂 – Check it out
Mana Lani Beach club is the best easiest beach for kids because its private, easy parking, has a restaurant and bar on the beach and no waves! How can you beat this? If you are staying here in one of the VRBO’s its a no brainer!
Also, i never have a trip without beach front yoga! Anybody can go to this class and pay $10 cash to the teacher. It’s at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows. -Check it out
Of course no trip would be complete without a visit the fairmont hotel. The kids can see the sea turtles right on a private beach. They have the best happy hour, restaurants, and live music!! My absolute favorite evenings are here.
Also, worth the drive into Waimea for my vote of the best park in the world for kids! Bold statement but it’s true! They don’t make them like this anywhere else i have been (and we travel a lot) It is truly a rare gem <3 – Check it out
Mauna Kea Beach hotel – Absolutely gorgeous beach, the BEST sand and best swimming. But get here by 8am or you won’t get a parking spot. I know it sounds super early but it’s worth it. Trust me 🙂
More great ideas on the next trip! Thanks for following me and please share my post if you enjoyed it!
